I have 1.5 tb iomega prestige usb 2.0 hard drive. When your tractor breaks or your cell phone stops working, they want to be the only people who can fix it. So I tried the Tokiwa link in post #18, took awhile, but worked like a charm and I only lost about 640kb of disk space. so.. Well because I needed to connect it to a NAS device and the NTFS permissions were causing the NAS not to be able to access the drive. copy exe file to directory and start cmd and change to that directory. All my aggravation has been lifted and it was quite a trying experience on my patience…Definitely post #18 FTW, for my 500GB Toshiba laptop HD that i bought a USB (Ācomdata I downloaded paragon's software, it was like 100MB to download, took forever to install and it wouldn't even format the external drive. I have a 100 GB External HD that I used the Swissknife software to reformat and a 500 GB WD HD that I used the software that 'willfull' mentioned, so thank's It would be a good idea to run the fitness test, as suggested above.
