Try your jumper settings on the new drive,maybe slave?There are guys here better than me,be cool. It takes less than a minute and is completely free! Haddo, Yours is common problem that appears on many forums and groups. Not Recognizing External Hard Drive On its left end is a smaller label block with things like "DISK_0", a size, and a few other bits of info. I don't have a spare active partition lying around to test this with, but I believe that is not an option that you are presented with in Disk Management.
