Opinions? After the replacement had this same buzzing noise; I decided to get a bigger powersupply, since 450W could be considered cutting it fine for a 270X (though I know it's sufficient). I tried my card in another computer now and the same problem existed there. As for the question of whether it's normal, it is, it's just annoying.

Even when using a VoIP program, other people can hear this noise (and even louder than myself I believe) through their speakers, only when my mic is activated though. My only solution was to get a cheap 3$ USB mic from Ebay.

And than it amplified inside Phoebus, so you can hear that noise. Join the community here. Likely we have the answer. If it is the rear or front (or side) case mounted fan, all that needs to be done is to remove the troublesome hardware and install a new fan.

The only thing that made any appreciable difference was unplugging my microphone altogether - that works. DON'T copy the old copy of windows. So I don't get it why these xonar cards have exactly the same problem even with or without EMI shield. Hard drives tend to last three to six years depending on use. It seems to not happen when playing any other games.

I took this sound card to play game and use the "special" mic . I'm swapping for a sound blaster tonight ill tell you guys if it fixes the problem.
