They show in Control Panel/System they also show in Disk Management but when I try to change Drive Letter I get the following error - "The operation failed to complete because check over here
Reply Aly December 16, 2015 at 10:13 am Hi, when I right-clicked on the unallocated space,it showed the options but only Properties and Help were available and the other options can't It shows healthy but on right clicking, all the options are blocked, except for Help option. My LG G4 was suddenly not being recognised by my pc, I had to reinstall the driver, windows did it automatically when I followed your instructions. my WD element 2tb hard drive fell down, it just fell from the table and there are no scratches or any particles in hard disk are moving .. About half an hour later, the hard drive failed audibly and the laptop... I followed the steps to find the drive on Disk Management and it is there, with a Healthy(Partition). Also the current PC works with different flash drives (1GB and 16 GB) in the """front USB""" well in windows XP but the extHDD won't work on front USB.

i asked if anyway around that, but he had no other solution. The USB is not recognized by the Computer so I can't use the USB at all. I have an external DVD player that is USB plug and play. I changed the setting from "Smart Auto" to "Auto".

What a cr4p article. I do note that when I start the computer up, it goes to the Dell page (with the Setup F2 and Boot Menu F12 choices) and if I don't interrupt it I am having the exact same issue as you and haven't found any fix.
