AMD processors use their clockspeed more effectively and are therefore able to do more work at lower clockspeeds than their Intel competitors. I wouldn't compare product because it is old technology and comparison would not be fair. The processor speed is usually not the bottleneck unless you run a lot of CPU intensive jobs (which an average user does not do). I'd have gone for the 6400 model if I could have found one, given it has the same thermal output and a slightly faster clock. It installed and worked normally once I

may i know what is the different in the disk which you mentioned and normal hard disks? But I'll eventually add more Ram most probably, once I've done some research on this topic. I have a laptop! On another note, clockspeed is not everything to a CPU's performance. Pentium 3GhzP.s. Pentium 3GhzNo, there are a lot more factors than just clock speed in determining the performance of a CPU.

The one I got was the 125w thermal output unit, not the 89w unit I was looking for, but the description didn't specify. All Rights Reserved.
