If they are able to get the echo/reverb enabled back to the way it was on the old drivers, then we have a working stable driver, and I'll be tickled pink crazyandlazy12-01-2006, 05:34 AMAre you trying Creative support? I spent a lot of money on my computer, and this sound card has crippled my system - it doesn't do what it was supposed to and it crashes my computer check over here
i finally took it out and am resorting to onboard audio... If anybody could help, it would be much appreciated. Also in BF3 the sound distorts after playing for a while Thanks in advance 4 answers Last reply Oct 10, 2014 Best Answer Jul 18, 2014 More about bsod installing soundblaster Boggles my mind how simple some of things really are, but a basic re-install of the driver instead of installing over the previous copy solved it for me.

My understanding is that external/USB editions do the processing on the CPU and merely acts as higher quality outputs and DAC (primarily for laptops lacking either). R. It says: "Confirm that your x-fi now has driver date stamp later than 8/1/2011 in Device Manager." I said "later than. . ." because I was covering both the PCI-E and Ask !
WRONG, "setup could not detect any devices in your system"?COOL, what a waste of money!! I made double sure that the file name and location were correct (I even used the DOS prompt to make sure). Though not surprising considering concurrently running clients is an unsupported situation (it works, but if it doesn't or behaves oddly, we're on our own). Jason Symarip11-30-2006, 04:04 PMIf so, why let you people report their problems if you know that won't receive any help from you anyway? System crashes to blue screen with the p7xfilt.sys message. Not 8/1/2011 as in the first post.
I am thinking some conflict with the 660ti Drivers as that is the only common denominator on both rigs I tried... Best Regards, Hurin Last edited by Hurin; Sep 17 2011 at 06:17 AM. I get blue screens while playing. 3-4 times a day. The only thing that changed was the device and it's associated Drivers And yet... Thanks a lot everyone, this hole system has been a waste of 2000 bucks. this content too late, I'm buying another brand forever.

These are used for the HDMI audio out, I believe.
But I tried this new one (B) yesterday and yep ... 3 hours of Lotro including porting to Thorin's Hall a few times without a crash. event viewes shows codes only, but no filenames. Sometimes I get blue screens which doesn't explicitly mention p7xfilt.sys, but after analyzing the mini dumps with WinDbg, it ends up pointing to p7xfilt.sys anyway. gs=0000??
Yes, that's correct. same p7xfilt.sys and some error codes.
