The reboots reverted back to the panel so I changed BIOS DISPLAY with F12 to VGA display at the last boot before the black screen. lol.... I used the same disk to install on a desktop without any problem. It seems the install procedure was not finished. DUKE3D's 800×600 graphics are received as such and displayed correctly except that the vertical position is too low and isn't fixed even when the monitor is adjusted as far as it if you have to reboot before installing the vista display drivers.
