ASUS A7N8X-e Overheat Problem
Late Edit: After reviewing the fine print on the back of the Doom 3 BFG CD box, it looks like the minimum requirements for an OS are Vista/W7 and a GeForce The above fix assumes that you have proper BIOS settings for your peripherals, compatible DDR RAM and power supply installed. To get things up and running fast you could always just do a quick format instead and only verify every sector at some point later on with CHKDSK /R. I suggest you provide a useful comment or let the subject rest. http://quodsoftware.com/asus-a7n8x-e/asus-a7n8x-e-ide-problem.html
The clip that holds the end of the screwdriver can give way, or you can slip resulting in a flat blade plunging into the board. I have an 8X AGP on the way, as well as a new Sempron 'Barton' chip and three 1 GB sticks of PC-3200 RAM. If you notice any bugs or style issues, please report them in this thread. It's great to talk about what possibly could be.
The Asus 1013 BIOS includes Silicon Image BIOS 4.2.47, but the most "recent" SI BIOS is 4.4.02. You could try setting all BIOS settings back to default. I no longer have any problems running with the full FSB and above. Check This Out With winter coming, I just might put that on the to-do list.
Good luck and I hope this helped. I recently resurrected this old K7 mobo from my loft and have so far been successful in rounding up all of the XP drivers except for the RAID. I may give it a shot on my W7 laptop and see how it goes. check over here Jan 12, 2006 #6 Mogwai TS Rookie ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard I have a really similar problem as you do, and ive actually managed to get past the problems on this Major changed settings listed below.FSB SPREAD SPECTREM: 50% (WILL NOT CHANGE BACK TO DEFAULT)CPU MULTIPLE: 12.5x166FSB: 166Btw, I'm not overclocking or adjusted any voltage settings. I know some people have experienced BSODs with the WHQL drivers on nForce 2-based boards with versions of Windows beyond XP that the newer beta drivers have fixed in some cases. I mean, if the board can't do it, then ASUS shouldn't advertise it. It is not overheating, I've checked every Bios setting I can, everything appears to be updated. his comment is here GiGaBiTeOctober 18th, 2016, 09:13 PMIt wouldn't make sense to have a PCI SATA 3.0 controller card because PCI doesn't have enough bandwidth.
I also used Arctic Silver 5 instead of the crappy substance originally on the heatsink. Search for and download 'cleanup_tool.exe' for Framework. I tried replacing graphics card, ram, power supply, cpu fan, but it still keeps happening.
If so then maybe you do not have good enough case ventilation.
Ask a question and give support. Never tried an SSD with it though. Of course I tried ocing it and upping the voltage in steps but that produced a non-booting machine. Not much left be done, and somewhere in the near future I'll try to post some pictures of my rig.
Question: Why run Prime95 on an old CPU. Feb 27, 2006 #13 robmav TS Rookie Same problem I recently bought battlefield 2 and every time i play it with in 30 minutes it crashes and goes back to windows, Also make sure you have the latest bios. http://quodsoftware.com/asus-a7n8x-e/asus-a7n8x-e-replacesment-boot-up-problem.html Dwjj, I bet you are an electical/computer engineer or something close to that.

What I finally found that worked 100% stable for me was to back the bus down from 200. The Athlon XP 3200+ Barton is displayed correctly in the bios and when booting. When I bought all of the components, previous owner already installed CPU and heatsink onto the board and claimed he used this setup successfully for several months. I was able to get my system running stable by increasing the voltage to the AGP slot, thereby giving it more juice when the system called for it. Once you have learned it you will never need to have Windows problems again. The system as a whole is very smooth and boots quickly.
It should be noted that the install was accomplished with the 1 GB stick removed from the A2 slot, as outlined in #65, and there were no BSOD's. XP seems to be the right fit for the time period anyway.
