Asus A7n8x-e Motherboard + Maxtor Diamondmax 9 Sata Harddrive Install
I may buy a 2nd 80GB Hitachi (quiet drive!) & play with RAID 0 myself to directly compare it then return to non-raid, having imaged the drive 1st of course. I am using a set of the Kingston HyperX PC4000 256 Meg modules. Flash your BIOS, check the jumper. BTW, I have not had any issues with this board or the hardware connected to it. My LAN connection worked then too, though I've heard many reports of people's onboard ethernet stopping working at such FSB speeds. Ask a question and give support. tried 2 different batteries for mobo, and cleared cmos, still nothing...
I changed out the hsf and the pc stayed on when started ( Asus COP protection ). It has always shown as present in the post right after the raid notification ( note I am not using raid ) but it has never shown up in the bios.
