Useless fact: Diablo 2 ran just as well on my 233 MHz AMD with the Voodoo 3 as on my 800 MHz AMD with the GeForce 3. Everything was looking perfect until I hit the crashed cargo ship level and encountered the same damn problem! Unless 3D marks are at least 5000 different, you got the same problem in reality with either card what ever they may be. It was the least powerful card in the MX line. If I set too much detail the game will lock up or the detail will become scrambled.

It seems that this issue is only related to interior environments. Too slow will always be too slow and fast enough will alway be fast enough. And when I installed my new cared i updated to the most recent cat drivers, could that have done it? But overclocking is mostly a hollow victoy that is fun to do but largely irrelavent in blind tests. I think it also handled video much better than the SiS 530.
